TULCon 2010!


The Society of Linguistics Undergraduate Students (SLUGS) at the
University of Toronto is pleased to announce the next annual Toronto
Undergraduate Linguistics Conference, TULCon 2010!

It will be held from March 5 - 7.

***We are now accepting abstracts***
Abstracts should be approximately 500 words in length (not including references), can be about any topic relating to linguistics, and can also be works in progress. Speakers will have the opportunity to speak for 20 minutes with 5 minutes for questions following. In your submission, please indicate whether you would like to present a talk or a poster during our poster session.

Submissions should be sent as .pdf or Microsoft Word (.doc, NOT .docx)
attachments to tulcon2010@gmail.com by February 5, 2010.

Only current undergraduate students (or recent graduates who have not begun a graduate program) are eligible to present, while anyone may attend.

***We are also now seeking accommodation for out-of-town guests***
If you live in Toronto (preferably close to the U of T St. George campus) and are interested in hosting one or more out-of-town TULCon participants, please click on the 'Hosting Form 2010' link to the left. If you were given a print-out version of the hosting form, it may be dropped off in the Linguistics department on the 4th floor of Sidney Smith Hall (100 St. George St), in the SLUGS mailbox.

Tentative pre-conference timeline:

December 22: call for submissions of abstracts
December 30: online registration begins
February 5th: final day for submissions
February 8th: applicants notified of acceptance
March 5th: check in and start of conference!
