The Department of East Asian Studies covers the languages, histories, philosophies, religions, politics, and fine arts of a region that represents more than one-third of the world's population. Our mission is to disseminate knowledge and increase sensitivity of these rich and important civilizations among Canadian students and scholars.

The Department offers undergraduate and graduate courses in the study of China, Japan, Korea, and India.
